Nope&Hope
About

Job hunting shouldn't feel this unsafe or this silent

Nope & Hope is a small website for Indian freshers. It answers the two questions every job search runs into: "Is this job real?" and "Why is nobody replying to me?"

Why "Nope & Hope"

Nope is what you should say to a fake offer: no fee, no Aadhaar, no reply. Hope is what you deserve from a real job: a callback. The site has one check for each.

Why it exists

Fake job offers have become a normal part of looking for work in India. They arrive on WhatsApp, Telegram and email, with real company logos, and they ask for "refundable" fees, Aadhaar and bank details. At the same time, freshers send application after application and hear nothing back, with no idea what went wrong.

93% of Indian job seekers have run into a recruitment scam. (Indeed Hiring Confidence Index, 2026)

What Nope & Hope does

Is this job real?

Paste or upload a job message or offer letter. Nope & Hope marks every warning sign, such as fees, free email addresses, pressure tactics and requests for ID, explains why each one matters, and tells you what to do next.

Why no replies?

Upload your CV and the job ad. Nope & Hope compares them the way hiring software does, marks weak spots in red pen, shows which skills the job wants that your CV is missing, gives you a score out of 100, and writes your follow-up messages to HR.

There's also Spot the Scam, a one-minute daily game: three job messages, and you decide which are scams. It's the fastest way to learn the tricks before they reach you.

How we think about it

  1. Calm over scary. Job hunting is stressful enough. Every result says what's wrong and what to do, in plain language.
  2. Signals, not verdicts. We show warning signs; we never call a named company a scam. You make the final call.
  3. Your data stays yours. The text you check is read inside your browser and isn't stored. See the privacy policy.

Who made it

I'm Prachi, and I'm studying HR. I built Nope & Hope after going through all three problems it solves myself: a job offer that wasn't real, months of applications with no replies, and not knowing what recruiters wanted from a fresher. If something on the site could be clearer, or you've seen a new scam going around, tell me.
